In many cases, you do not need a doctor's referral to start physical or occupational therapy due to Direct Access laws. However, some insurance plans may still require a referral. We recommend contacting our office with your insurance information, and our team will gladly verify your benefits and let you know if a referral is necessary for your specific plan.

Your first visit, known as the initial evaluation, will typically last around an hour. Our licensed therapist will conduct a thorough assessment of your condition, including reviewing your medical history, performing a physical examination, and discussing your goals. Based on this, a personalized treatment plan will be developed, and often, some initial treatment will be provided during this first session. Please arrive a few minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork, or you can often find forms on our website to complete beforehand.

Standard physical and occupational therapy sessions at Precision Rehab, Occupational, Physical & Hand Therapy, P.L.L.C. typically last between 45 minutes to an hour. The total number of sessions you'll need varies greatly depending on your specific diagnosis, the severity of your condition, your progress, and your individual goals. Your therapist will regularly re-evaluate your progress and discuss your treatment timeline with you throughout your rehabilitation journey.

We strive to provide consistent, personalized care. While the therapist who performs your initial evaluation will design your treatment plan, our team works collaboratively. We make every effort to schedule you with the therapist of your preference whenever possible to ensure continuity of care.

We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for easy movement and allows the therapist to access the area being treated. For example, if you're receiving treatment for a knee issue, shorts would be ideal. For shoulder or neck issues, a T-shirt or tank top might be suitable.
